Leading and Listening with Vision and Heart: Building Reggio-Inspired Pract
September 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Leading a Reggio-Inspired program can be a wonderful, messy, and challenging job. In this seminar designed for program directors, school leaders and coaches, the administrative team of the Worcester Child Development Head Start Program will share their journey to bring Reggio-inspired practice to their program. The team will discuss their experiences of navigating a variety of city, state, and federal regulatory requirements as they encouraged themselves, staff, and families to think outside of the box.
For leaders to shift a program’s culture, there must be opportunity for deep discussions and consideration of a variety of perspectives. It also requires finding and nurturing the strengths and capabilities of staff, families, and children. There must be safe spaces to ask questions and, at times, disagree. The Worcester team will highlight some of the most impactful moments that have occurred in their program during this journey. These highlights include working collaboratively with families and staff to define culture for their program and developing a lesson plan format that is reflective of the authentic learning experience for both children and educators.
This workshop is presented by the Presented by Worcester Child Development Head Start Leadership team.
