Inspiring Resilience and Hope During Challenging Times

May 12, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

How to build resilience and hope in teachers, children and families during these challenging times.

Join Susan MacDonald, author and educational consultant, as we develop strategies for navigating these challenging times. During this time of unprecedented stress, it is essential to explore new ways to raise our energy levels. This workshop will provide an understanding of Appreciative Inquiry and the current positive psychology research to inspire participants as they develop strengths-based strategies for living and working in uncertainty. We will explore how these ten forms of positivity can increase resilience in teachers, children, families, and school leaders: Joy – Gratitude – Pride – Serenity – Interest – Hope – Pride – Amusement – Awe – Love. Participants will be guided in the development of a clear vision and an action plan that they can use to support their early childhood community through this time challenging time. A well-researched resource list, including books, articles, videos, and podcasts, will be shared to help participants facilitate their ongoing learning.

This workshop is FREE and open to all. Registration limited to 50 participants.
