August (Virtual) Conference – Leading with Reggio Inspiration- Reflecting, Recommitting & Reimagining

Conference Description:

Who is leading the Reggio-inspired practice in your community? Who are the decision makers, guides, and models for your approach and values?

Reggio-inspired leadership comes from many individuals. In Reggio, out of the rubble of WWII, parents, community members, and educators rebuilt their schools. Today, they continue to be guided by a community of pedagogistas, educators, families, and the wider community.

In the American context, we often turn to school directors or principals for leadership in the early education field. However, we also know that leadership teams can be most effective in guiding change. This year’s virtual conference will focus on how leadership teams can work together to bring Reggio-inspired principles and practices into their context.

We are inviting participants to join the conference as a leadership team – bring your program director, coaches, coordinators, pedagogistas, and teachers. Under the guidance of our keynote speaker – Tiziana Filippini, pedagogista from Reggio Emilia – your team will have the opportunity to reflect, recommit, and reimagine your work as we enter the new school year.

Along with a keynote address by Tiziana Filippini, sessions will include time for teams to explore and discuss the following:

• Leadership Reflections on Rights: Rebuilding Your Beliefs and Practices with Intention
• Leadership Mini-Stories and Lessons: Redesigning Schedules, Spaces, Systems & Structures to Reflect Your “Charter of Rights”
• Leadership Reflections on Shifts & Change: How do we Realize these Rights?
• Leading to Make Visible an Ecosystem Dedicated to the Rights of Children

Additional Information: This year’s virtual conference will be hosted on the Zoom platform. Registration will be open to leadership teams first. If spaces remain, registration may be opened to individual attendees.

Leadership Team Registration Rates:

Supporting Fee of $75 per person: At this level, you are covering your fee for the August Conference and helping to subsidize the reduced fees paid by others who have more challenging financial circumstances.

Our-Cost Fee of $50 per person: At this level, your fee fully covers the costs of your team attending the August Conference.

Subsidized Fee of $30 per person: At this level, your fee is subsidized by the scholarship fund provided by BARIN Supporters and through the additional fees paid by those selecting a Supporting Level Fee.
