Purpose: To support the successful operation of SolBe Learning’s first center in Boston and assist ownership in the design of programs, policies, and procedures that will support its success.
This position works in partnership with the current Director. Together, the directors share the responsibilities outlined below.
Responsibilities
• Guide enrolling families through the enrollment process; including paperwork, initial visits, and transition to care
• Engage and develop parents in partnership program with classroom educators
• Work alongside Marketing Director to create family programming
• Communicate with families, including responding effectively to conflicts and concerns • Supervise day-to-day operations of the program, including covering in the classrooms as needed • Ensure safe environment that is compliant with licensing and regulations
• Supervise staffing, including hiring and dismissal
• Engage in authentic leadership practices to create a positive work climate
• Manage HR functions including employee timesheets, preparation of payroll reports, educator scheduling, and employee reviews
• Facilitate communication and alignment with educators and program goals, including monthly meetings • Recruit, hire, and onboard educators who embody SolBe values and core dispositions • Oversee and support continual educator development
• Ensure integrity of the program’s approach is evident in classroom practices
• Review educator lesson plans, checking quality against the SolBe education standards • Observe and coach educators, ensuring that SolBe teaching practices and interaction guidelines are being met
• Purchase and ordering of school wide materials
• Perform additional duties as requested by the school Director
