APPRENTICE PROGRAM: Become an ECE EDUCATOR Greenfield Community College

Make a difference in the lives of children and families by training to become an Early Childhood Educator!
This 19-week program launches with in-person work readiness training followed by a paid apprenticeship with a local employer. The professional readiness training includes digital literacy, CPR certification, classroom readiness, and soft skills training, and the apprenticeship period includes mentorship, hybrid learning with GCC faculty and hands-on work experience in an early childcare setting. It’s a powerful way to start your career in early childhood education.
In this program, you’ll learn about the role of early childhood educators and complete coursework that leads to teacher certification once you achieve 450 hours of on-the-job training through your apprenticeship.
This is a highly selective program that requires in-person interviews with the program’s coordinator.
