In this year’s workshop series, we explore how children form and express ideas about diversity, justice, and rights. At a very early age, children begin noticing differences and developing powerful ideas about fairness and social justice. It is an important time for teachers and parents to provoke children’s thinking through curriculum investigations and ongoing dialogue about these critical topics. Together, we will reflect on our practices through the lens of Reggio Emilia’s equity-based pedagogy.

Wonder of Learning Exhibit Planning
Help us bring the Wonder of Learning Exhibit to Boston in June of 2018. The Wonder of Learning Exhibit is a traveling exhibit that highlights the work of the children and educators of the Reggio Emilia schools and provides a powerful introduction to this highly successful approach to early childhood education. The steering group is eager to begin an inclusive planning process toward events, programs and professional development that will reflect and represent the broad influence and connection to the Reggio Emilia Approach in New England. We look forward to showcasing and supporting the incredible work in this region from small schools to large universities, from museums to materials centers, and from public and private centers. We have so much expertise to draw on.
